You can have joy today and every day as you walk with Jesus.
The joy of the Christian life is not a one-time event that passes away quickly. Jesus intends of for His followers to know and experience His joy continually. Sometimes it is a joy that is express in laughter or shouting. Other times it is a quiet joy expressed by the simple smile of a satisfied, secured and serene heart. Still, most of the time there can be and is joy that can not be expressed at all.
"Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls."
- 1 Peter 1:8-9 (NIV)
Such joy comes as a result of God's Holy Spirit living within His child and His child's trusting in Jesus, obeying Jesus by following the Holy Spirit's leading, communicating with Jesus through prayer, Bible study and worshipping with other believers, and loving Jesus.
Then, not only can there be joy in the morning, there is joy even in times of sorrow or suffering.

God gives the greatest joy to those who share it with others.
The greatest joy in the Christian's life comes in being a source or channel of joy for others. God's wonderful joy is one of those spiritual and often mysterious treasures that eludes those who seek it and fills those who seek it for others. In striving to own it, joy is missed. In endeavoring to help others know and experience it, joy is realized.
The joy of the Lord has no limits or bounds, but more people can have that joy when believers share their joy and when they help others to discover and experience God's joy for themselves. When the believer is instrumental in others having joy, the believer himself will know that fullness of joy that Jesus only gives.
